1. Operation Dark Hunt - Action aganist habitual offender.

As part of Operation Dark Hunt district police deported a habitual offender of Kalady, Chengamanadu police station limits. Bristow (33) Malayattoor Mundangamattom Ponnidathu Para house was deported to for six months. KAAPA was initiated in connection with the murder attempt of Xavier in last December. He is the accused in attempt to murder, assault, and trespass to house cases. He was also deported in 2015 on a charge of KAAPA.

 

2. Police found 14 grams of MDMA and 400 grams of cannabis.

During a search of a scrap shop in Kuttamassery, police found 14 grams of MDMA, 400 grams of cannabis, an air pistol, three digital scales used for weighing drugs and wrapping paper. The shop is owned by Ajnas Sree Moolanagaram . The day before, Kalady police had nabbed Ajnas, Sufian at Chowvara Thettali Pathayapurakkal house and Ajmal Ali at Kanjirakkad Tharaku Peedika with MDMA and cannabis near Marampilly bridge. He was caught while being transported in a car. The drugs were found in the shop during an investigation conducted by a special team set up to investigate the case.


3. Two youths arrested with 30 mg MDMA

Njarakkal police arrested Rahul (27) from Nairambalam Veliyath Paramba Olipparambil house and Ajeesh (33) from Palliyara house in Kaniyapetta, Wayanad. The drugs were found stored in the dash of the car. The MDMA was apprehended near Veliyathamparambu beach during a search conducted following a tip-off received by the police.

4. Main accused in the kidnapping case was arrested

One of the main accused in the kidnapping of a car driver at gunpoint in Aluva has been arrested. Mubashir (Mubi 29) Kolothum Parampil, Mathilakam, Thrissur was arrested. He was directly involved in the crime. A lookout notice was issued against five persons, including him. After the incident, Mubin went into hiding in Coimbatore, Salem and Pondicherry. Special investigating team arrested the accused from a lodge in Gandhinagar, Coimbatore.

The main accused who was absconding in the gang who tried to stop and attack the vehicle carrying the collection money in the quarry has been arrested. Muvattupuzha police arrested Jeril George (34) from Mudavankunnel house in Kothamangalam Kottapadi Vadassery area.

6.Snatching case - Two persons arrested

Two persons arrested for snatching a gold chain while riding around on a stolen bike. Kuruppadi police arrested Abhilash (25) of Katharibag Naval Base and Sarath (24) from Thopumpady Mundamveli Palapalliparambil. He was arrested in the case of stolen the gold chain of Varkey, who runs a grocery store in Pralayakkad 

7. The main accused in a robbery attempt case was arrested

The main accused who was in hiding in the gang who tried to stop and attack the vehicle which came with the collection money in the quarry has been arrested. Muvattupuzha police arrested Jeril George (34) from Mudavankunnel house in Kothamangalam Kottapadi Vadassery area. On the night of the April 28th, on the Maradi side of Muvattupuzha Koothattukulam road, the robbers chased using a rental car with the registration number partially hidden and tried to steal money by circling the car which was traveling with money from Koothattukulam area.

8. Temple theft case - accused arrested

The thief who broke the lock of the temple and went inside was caught. Koothattukulam police arrested Suresh (Panachippara Suresh 62) from Kunnuthel house in Kallamula area in Pullamkode, Malappuram.He is accused in several theft cases in various police stations in Kerala.

9. Police launch Safe Aluva project.

Police launch Safe Aluva project with public participation. As part of this, night inspections will be intensified. The aim is to prevent theft, kidnapping, assault, immoral activities and drugs, police said. The project is being developed in collaboration with the Merchants Association, the Residence Association, voluntary organizations, security forces, autorickshaw workers and organizations.

10.Bail Cancellation.

The Hon&rsquoble High Court of Kerala dismissed the petition filed by the accused against the cancellation of his bail. The petition of Ibrahim Kutty (Ibru 44) at Puthukkadan house in Marampilly Pallipram Cheruvelikunnam was dismissed. He is the accused in the case of abducting a passenger who landed at Nedumbassery airport. The court was granted conditional bail in this case. Later a drug case was registered against him, and then a police report has been filed in the court to cancel the bail of the accused for violating the conditions of the bail.

11.Perumbavoor POCSO court sentenced a teacher for sexually assaulting a boy.

Perumbavoor POCSO court sentenced madrasa teacher to 67 years in prison and fined Rs 65,000 for sexually assaulting a boy. Aliyar (55) Idayalil house, Nellikuzhi at Eramallur was convicted. The incident took place on January 19, 2020 within the jurisdiction of the Thadiyitta Parambu police station. Immediately after receiving the complaint, an investigation was conducted and the accused was arrested and a charge sheet was filed on time. 

12. Robbery case - two more accused arrested.

In Aluva, two more people were arrested in the case of looting gold and money from a house by a gang posing as income tax officers conducting a raid. David Dias (35), near NTS Gate, Chikolna, Bogmalo, Goa, and Rami Vaz (52), Vaskodagama, Kharieda, Goa, Panaji, were nabbed from Goa. In connection with the incident, the police had earlier arrested Maulali Habibul Sheikh, a native of Goan, on Mankor Hill Gurdwara Road, and Abuti,Sajeera Manzil near Koilod Juma Masjid, in Koothuparamp Pala Bazar, Kannur.

He has many cases against him in Angamaly police station, including attempted murder, grievous hurt, robbery, Explosive Ordnance Act etc.

14.Guest labor arrested with thirteen kilograms of ganja.

Guest labor arrested with thirteen kilograms of ganja. Rashid Ali (37), a native of Garamari, Assam, was arrested by the Kunnathunad police. He has been working in various places in Kerala for the past four years. He used to sell the ganja brought from Assam for Rs 3000 per kg in small packets for Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

Youth arrested with MDMA and ganja. Athul (25), kolllimolam house, West Vengola, Arakkapadi was arrested in Perumbavoor. 660 mg of MDMA and 40 grams of cannabis were recovered from him. Drugs were seized during a search at his house.

16.NDPS Case - five youths were arrested.

Five youths were arrested with 400 grams of MDMA.Kannur, Narath Tharamel House, Muneesh (27), South Vazhakulam Thazhathan House, Afsal (23), Alappuzha Punnapra, Paravoor, Kollaparambil House, Charls Dennees (25), Edathala Kuzhivelippady Chalil house Muhammed Ansar (26), Pookkattupady Malayidamthuruth, Thazhathparambil house, and Asrath (20) were arrested by the Special Investigation Team. Three persons were first caught with 634 mg of MDMA in a car at Angamaly TB Junction. During the subsequent investigation, four hundred grams of drugs kept in the scooter and two persons were arrested.

17.NDPS Act case - Pothanikkad Police arrested the accused.

Young man caught with 2.5 Kg ganja. Jithin (Kannan, 22)  Nokkanayil house, Oonnukal was arrested by the Pothanikkad Police. In an investigation following a tip-off, he was caught when he came to sell ganja at the Paingotukara shap area.

18. Online cheating case - District Cyber Police recovered the money.

Ernakulam Rural District Cyber Police Station has recovered the money for those who lost money through online fraud. The resident of Mulanthurutty lost Rs.360,000 and the resident of Pampakuda lost Rs.1 lakh. Both the money went through the same manner. A young man from Pampakuda received a message through his mobile that he would get the reward points obtained by purchasing the products in cash. In order to get the money, the young man clicked on the link sent by the fraudsters and handed over his credit card information as per their instructions. He immediately took away Rs. 1 lakh in the account. Following a complaint received by the Rural District Police, the money was recovered after a scientific investigation was conducted by the police.

Angamaly police arrested Denish Joy (32) and his wife Aswathi (30) at Palapetti Colony, Vellanchira, Aloor, Thrissur in connection with the incident. Liquor and spirit were seized from a rented house near Ankamali town.

20.NDPS case - Thadiyittaparambu Police arrested the accused persons. 

A three-member gang of guest laborers who sold heroin was arrested. Hairul Islam (31), Ahmed Ali (35) and Musidul Islam (26), natives of Assam, were arrested from a rented house in Chembaraki Kaipurikara area by Thadiyittaparambu police. They used to supply heroin here from Assam. They were caught when they were going to go on a bike to sell in a small depi. During the inspection 153 grams of heroin was found in the rented house.

21.A habitual offender was charged with Kappa and sent to prison. 

A habitual offender involved in cases including attempt to murder, drug peddling within Munambam and Njarakkal police station limits has been booked under Kappa and jailed. Najmal (29), Karuthattil house, Kuzhuppilly, Edavanakkad was arrested and sent to Viyur Central Jail. KAAPA was charged after he was arrested with hashish oil in Cherai last January.

Sunir (Patti Sunir, 35) of Kariyampilli house in Manjali Kunnumpuram area, Yadukrishna (24) of Thachapilly house of Pooiyapilli, Vaddakekara, and Jude Joseph (28) of Njarakkal Vadaikkal house were jailed in Viyyur Central Jail. The action was taken on the basis of the report of the Rural District Police Chief as part of Operation Dark Hunt.

The court had granted conditional bail to the accused in the murder case of Jayaprakash in Kurumassery. He violated the terms and conditions and tried to extort money from the Kurumassery businessman by threatening him.

24.Rural police conducted motivation class for children.

Rural police conducted motivation class for children who could not complete their studies due to life circumstances. District Police Chief Vivek Kumar inaugurated the class held at the District Police Headquarters. Additional SP KM Jijimon presided over the function. HOPE Administrator T.R.Gills spoke. Dr. V.Sajikumar took the class. Literacy Mission District Coordinator Deepa James, N I O S Coordinators Devdosh, Soni and others participated. SP felicitated the students who appeared and passed the exam through HOPE scheme.

District Police Chief Vivek Kumar, Additional SP KM Jijimon and Janmaitri Police ASI KS Sreekumar participated in the function. P. M. Telhat, an officer of Cyber Police Station, took the class.

27.Additional SP visited relief camps.

As part of ensuring the security of the relief camps in Ernakulam Rural District, Additional SP K.M.Jijimon visited the camps. Talked to the people in the camp. He discussed with people's representatives and health workers about what needs to be prepared urgently. Police officers were also present. A 24-hour control room has been working at the district police headquarters.

31.Ernakulam Rural Police conducted Residence Association Meeting.

District Police Chief Vivek Kumar said that the role of residence associations is very important in preventing crime. He was speaking after inaugurating the meeting of the representatives of the residence associations of the rural district at the district police headquarters. SP said that the police will be with us in any situation where the services of the police are required. Additional SP Jijimon, ASP Anuj Paliwal, DySP P.P.Shams and others spoke. Other top police officers of the district were also present. Various issues of rural district were discussed in the meeting.

Vimukti District Coordinator Bibin, Nash Mukt Bharat Abhiyan District Coordinator Francis Moothedan and others conducted the class. The program was organized as a part of Yodhav project of Kerala Police. As part of awareness, anti-drug clubs will be started in schools. Prior to this, an extensive meeting involving experts, organizations and school PTAs will be called. Awareness will be created through videos. Anti-drug message trips, classes, cycle-bike rallies, flash mobs and street plays are also conducted in the rural district.

Three cases were registered in connection with seizure of prohibited tobacco products. The inspection was conducted on the instructions of District Police Chief Vivek Kumar. A highly trained dog squad is also involved in the raids to arrest the narcotics.

He is also included in the rowdy list of Munambam police station.
